1654585_422073164594026_595892008_oThese beautiful wildlife scenes are one of a kind. Marine and Wildlife Artist Mike Bainter is one of the hottest up and coming artist on the market today. Over the past 2 1/2 years Mike has been a featured artist for the Yamaha Contender Miami Billfish Tournament, RedGhost Stalk Tournament in Islamorada, Fla., Hero’s on the Water events in Texas and Virgina, Kayak Fishing Classics (state wide tournament series in Florida) and the Spot Cup Fishing tournament Sponsored by the CCA of Mississippi and the Island View Casino, just to name a few. Through Mike’s donations he has also helped raise thousands of dollars for children and their families with special needs, Military Vets and Conservation Groups like the CCA across the country. His latest contribution was a 24×30 Embellished Canvas Giclee called “Tail Walkin”. Mike’s Passion for the outdoors started out early in life while growing up on the coast of Pensacola, Fla wear he became an avid saltwater fisherman and living the country as a young adult in Eclectic, Al. where he spent all his free time bass fishing on Lake Martin or spending time in the woods with his Stepfather during the fall and winter months. After graduating high school Mike spent the next 5 yrs in the US Military as Naval Seabee where served his country and was a active participant of the Desert Shield/Storm Campaign before getting a medical discharge in 1992. When the recession began in 2009 Mike got out of construction and decided to head to school to learn a new trade and follow his dreams a an artist. During Mike’s time in college he competed in Graphic Art competitions earning him Gold Medals at the State Level two years in a row and competing at nationals in Kansas City. In his second trip to Nationals he finished in 5th place for graphic illustrations. He has been building a name for himself in the art community with the startup of his own business FishTail Artworks LLC.
